South Frontenac Township Employees Move to Temporary Office Space in August
South Frontenac employees will be moving into temporary office space in August as construction is scheduled to begin on the expanded Town Hall and municipal offices in Sydenham.
Municipal Office Changes
- Starting August 8 at noon, Building and Planning reception will relocate to the Storrington Centre administrative offices at 3910 Battersea Rd. Please note our Building and Planning department will be closed the morning of August 8 and reopen to the public at noon. The Storrington Centre will still be available for community groups to book.
- Starting August 16 at 8 am, the main Reception and Treasury department will relocate to the Sydenham Library Community Room, 4412 Wheatley Street.
- There is no impact to the Township’s Public Services department located at 2490 Keeley Road.
- Council and Committee meetings will relocate to the Storrington Centre starting in September.
Sydenham Branch of the Kingston Frontenac Public Library
- Sydenham Branch will remain open on its regular days and times of the week.
- There will be reduced parking for library visitors. On street parking will be available.
- The Sydenham Library Community Room is unavailable for booking.
Some employees will be working remotely during the expansion. Residents are encouraged to refer to the We’re Moving page on the Township website for specific contact information for teams and individuals and take advantage of online payment options.
Construction is expected to take a year. The expansion will increase the square footage of the municipal offices to more than 13,000 square feet and will include more workstations, meeting rooms, reception areas, and accessibility enhancements.
